新海芬網女單 克菲托娃封后

捷克女將克菲托娃(Petra Kvitova)23日以6比4、6比2，擊敗斯洛伐克女將賴芭莉科娃(Magdalena Rybarikova)，勇奪WTA美國新海芬網賽(New Haven)女子單打冠軍。這是她過去3年來第二座新海芬網賽后冠。

2012年也在此賽事封后的克菲托娃在賽後表示，這個冠軍她所需要的。面對即將在25日開打的大滿貫賽美國公開賽(U.S. Open)，她說，過去她雖然在新海芬網賽有好表現，但並未在接下來舉行的美網有好成績。她仍希望今年奪冠能為她帶來好運。

克菲托娃在本年美國公開賽名列第三種子，首戰將面對世界排名73的法國選手美拉德諾維奇(Kristina Mladenovic)。兩人過去有兩次對戰紀錄：2008年首度碰頭，當時由克菲托娃拿下勝利，但2013年再度對上時，則由美拉德諾維奇獲勝。

目前世界排名第四的克菲托娃，也是今年溫布頓網賽的女單冠軍。
