休士頓火箭2日主場迎戰底特律活塞，開局在豐田中心再展「快打旋風」，單節狂轟41分，第1節打完已經領先達21分。

此役Chandler Parsons因感冒未出賽，由新交易來的Jordan Hamilton取代先發位置，台裔後衛「哈佛小子」林書豪還是從板凳出發。

一開賽，上次對戰表現精彩的「魔獸」Dwight Howard就送上雙手爆扣，加上「大鬍子」James Harden連得6分，火箭輕鬆取得雙位數領先。

林書豪在首節4分48秒登場，換下開局狀況絕佳、連得6分的Patrick Beverley，不過目前還沒有太多表現機會。

活塞跟不上快節奏的進攻，讓火箭越打越順，第1節還剩4分鐘時已經飆破30分。

首節Howard頻頻轟炸籃框，籃板也搶的很積極，目前已經9分、4籃板進帳，Terrence Jones也有多次灌籃美技。
